And what’s Wretched Country all about?
Wretched Country does for the western genre what Wretched Bastards did for fantasy: it’s an old-school game meant for playing anti-hero characters. The spaghetti western, already referenced as a source of inspiration for the OSR dark-fantasy Wretched Bastards, now takes centre stage. In this book, you will find:
• Wretched rules adapted for playing a western game.
• The Devil’s Country, a western-themed horror scenario about an international film crew travelling to Spain to shoot a movie believed to be cursed.
• Hellstone, a setting that can be used to run spaghetti, classic or weird west adventures.

All Bets are Off is a mini-setting for Wretched New Flesh -Postcards from Avalidad. It adds the city of Lisbon, Portugal’s capital, to the Avalidad game world. Lisbon of the near future is a new entry in the infamous list of gambling and vice cities of the world, such as Las Vegas, Atlantic City, Macao, Monaco and Singapore.
There are several tie-ins to the original storyline through factions in the core book and plot hooks, which demand the characters to travel to the Iberian city. There’s also enough information to make Lisbon an alternative location for an Avalidad ongoing plot.

Through the small French town of Royat flows a stream of miraculous water. Still, the spring’s history is also connected to ancient ghost stories, and the locals prefer to avoid it just in case. Until the day an eccentric Russian prince is cured of his long ailment and decides to share the water miracle with the world, building a unique avant-garde Sanatorium & Spa Resort.
However, the townspeople were actually right by fearing those ancient tales; something ancient, unnatural and dangerous lurks in the shadows of the sanatorium and the preternatural cure may come with a heavy price. The answer to this mystery is in the water.
