Novanexus – RELEASED (Red Room Store and BGE)
Novanexus is a scenario designed for Wretched New Flesh – but adaptable to other near-future games – set in a sprawling metropolis that represents the pinnacle of human achievement and technological progress. In this scenario, inspired by movies such as My Uncle (1958), Playtime (1967) and Traffic (1971), players have the option to take on the role of local law enforcement or work for ZoneSec, a security organization hailing from the distant city of Avalidad. They are sent to Novanexus to either spy on the city or assist in investigating the mysterious phenomenon known as Glitch. Novanexus is an awe-inspiring European city with a skyline filled with towering skyscrapers and streets buzzing with activity. However, beneath its futuristic façade, the city is plagued by a sense of alienation and isolation. As the players investigate the mystery of the Glitch, they will be faced with the city’s advanced technology in disarray having to rely on their wits and low-tech to survive in the chaotic environment.
Wretched Verses Issue 5: Press the Flesh (RELEASED)
A one-shot scenario for Wretched New Flesh, by Judd Goswick, centring around the goals of Hagashira Aerospace and its inner turmoil over technologies developed using alien technology and telekinetic propulsion.
Let’s Put Some New Flesh on Those Bones!
Wretched New Flesh is a large core book with a lot of content and last year we’ve released All Bets are Off, the alternate setting of near-future Lisbon. However, we have not released any new content for Wretched New Flesh since then. Fear not, for we are about to remedy this.
Soon, we will be launching the next instalment of Wretched Verses, titled Press the Flesh. This one-shot scenario, penned by Judd Goswick, transports players to the intriguing locale of Avalidad. Additionally, we will be debuting the first in a series of micro-settings that explore cities within the New Flesh universe. The inaugural setting features Novanexus, a French city inspired by the films of Jacques Tati, such as Playtime, Traffic, and Mon Oncle(admittedly, this may seem like an unconventional source of inspiration for Wretched New Flesh, but strangeness is a vital part of New Flesh).
Right after that, we will release Wretched New Flesh – Orbital Decay a gritty science-fiction sourcebook. Building upon the surreal and nightmarish world of New Flesh, Orbital Decay explores the depths of human ambition, desperation, and depravity as we venture beyond Earth’s atmosphere, establishing orbital stations and colonies on other planets within the solar system. This expansion draws heavy inspiration from iconic films such as Alien, Aliens, Outland, Escape from New York, Stalker, Solaris, Event Horizon, and Pandorum, expertly weaving themes of isolation, claustrophobia, desperation, fear, and horror into the fabric of its narrative.

Wretched Verses Issue 1: Avalidad City Guide
Avalidad is a large district inside Tangiers, Morocco, sponsored by an international conglomerate of several corporations interested in investing in northern Africa. The futuristic metropolis was built from scratch during the late 1950s and early 1960s. In the early days of Avalidad, the City was divided into subzones, each managed by a different corporation. As Avalidad grew and expanded, the need for the corporate districts faded away, and they were repurposed into laboratories, offices, warehouses, and residential areas for their respective businesses. Nowadays, the City is organised around its central business district, the neurological centre of Avalidad.

Red Room Flash Sales: 25% Off New Flesh and All Bets Are Off
Today’s flash sale includes the two items in the Wretched New Flesh line. Wretched New Flesh is an OSR adaptation of Postcards from Avalidad, a Postmortem Studios setting. This is a near-future sci-fi/ surreal horror game inspired by the works of William S. Burroughs, David Cronenberg, William Gibson, and Clive Barker. Almost 400 pages crammed-full of information about the bizarre world of Avalidad, with mechanics compatible with the previous Wretched game
The game setting is centred on Avalidad, a futuristic city in Morocco, where corporations have been conducting research in genetics, cybernetics, augmented and virtual reality, and biotechnology. By default, characters are expected to be ZoneSec operatives or executives for Takeda Technologies, one of the most powerful corporations in Avalidad, but other roles such as Avalidad’s celebrities, fiscal royalty and seedy underbelly are also possible.
This book includes the contents of Postmortem Studios’ Postcards from Avalidad, new mechanics, the scenario As Above, so Below and additional information about the city of Avalidad, corporations, technology, ZoneSec and more.
All Bets Are Off is a mini-setting for Wretched New Flesh -Postcards from Avalidad. It adds the city of Lisbon, Portugal’s capital, to the Avalidad game world. Lisbon of the near future is a new entry in the infamous list of gambling and vice cities of the world, such as Las Vegas, Atlantic City, Macao, Monaco and Singapore.
There are several tie-ins to the original storyline through factions in the core book and plot hooks, which demand the characters to travel to the Iberian city. There’s also enough information to make Lisbon an alternative location for an Avalidad ongoing plot.
