This is the scenario that started it all: The Wretched concept, the idea for the Wretched Bastards setting and the Seven Sins as an alternative alignment system. It was included in the Wretched Bastards 2nd edition book, so it’s about time to make it a free download. You can get it at our store, at Big Geek Emporium or Giant Slayer Games.
The Seven Bastards is a low-fantasy, low-magic scenario/ short campaign setting for Wretched Bastards or other OSR games. Years ago a group of lewd and rowdy adventurers, collectively known as The Seven Bastards, was expelled from the village of Fork for their belligerent and salacious ways. But when consecutive bands of orcs start coming down from the mountains south of the village, leaving a trail of destruction in their wake, the locals find no support in their lord, Windom, the Earl of Andril, too distracted with the mysterious disappearance of his young daughter to care about any other trouble. The villagers turn to the only ones who can help them in a time of need, the Bastards.

Wretched Époque takes place in the period known as the Belle Époque, which is dated between 1871 and 1914, ending when World War I started. This is the time and the fictional place where Umberto Eco’s Simone Simonini – the most cynical and disagreeable character in the History of literature, as the author meant him to be – crosses paths with Jacques Tardi’s Adèle Blanc-Sec, Edgar Allan Poe’s Chevalier Auguste Dupin and Maurice Leblanc’s Arsène Lupin, amidst anarchist bombings, the echoes of the Dreyfus affair, the catastrophic side effects of secret societies conspiring in the shadows and the mysterious results of experiences conducted by mad geniuses. Not yet pulp, not quite historical, it is neither the right time nor the right mood for Steampunk or Dieselpunk, this is the time of Nouveaupunk.

Wretched New Flesh Issue 10: Postcard from Mediouna
This issue of Wretched Verses contains the first part of a series of fictionalised accounts of a Wretched New Flesh game, a more detailed description and a random table of encounter for the Mediouna high-class neighbourhood of Avalidad and additional information about Holovision Prime and its shows.
