(In)Sanatorium, a scenario for the investigative horror games Wretched Époque and Belle Époque by Sílvia Clemente was updated to 1.2. Typos were corrected, Belle Époque stats were added and AI illustrations replaced with public domain art of the time. The Hallow Man Updated
The Hallow Man was updated to 1.1. This is a horror scenario by Silvia Clemente for DARKER (easily adapted to Wretched Darkness or other OSR games). A few typos and character stats were corrected and AI illustrations replaced with stock photos. If you purchased it before, you can find 1.1 at our store’s downloads section. If you haven’t, check it out. It will soon be available in print-on-demand at Luludotcom. More updates to come!
A Red Room Update
As many of you already know, the Red Room will stop selling through its own online store at the end of this year. Since we are now about a month away from that change, it is time to explain what happens next.
From early 2026 onward, our catalogue will be available exclusively through Luludotcom in both digital and print formats. Some digital titles will also continue to be offered on itch.io. The Red Room website itself will remain as it is, so you can still browse our games there as usual and follow the links to Lulu or itch.io to complete your purchase.
You may also have noticed that we have been releasing fewer new titles recently. This does not mean the Red Room is closing when the shop does. The two things are unrelated. The slower release schedule comes from a simple, practical reason: sales have been down for months. Putting out new material when existing titles are not selling well is difficult to justify, and a smaller budget makes it harder to commission new cover and interior art. For that reason, we decided to reduce the pace of new releases.
Instead, we plan to review and update older books and re-release them. As usual, anyone who already owns the original digital version will receive the updated digital file for free. These new editions will also replace AI-generated illustrations with public-domain or commissioned art. This is not because we suddenly turned against AI as a tool, but because AI artwork has become a point of contention and has clearly hurt sales and visibility. At a time when numbers are already low, we cannot afford additional obstacles.
Our hope is that these revised editions will appeal both to long-time and new customers, in digital and print. We also hope that reviewers who have avoided covering books with AI art will now feel more comfortable giving Red Room titles a fair look.
Shadows Over Olisipo Updated
Following the RPGPundit’s recent review of Shadows over Olisipo, we’ve updated the book: corrected typos, replaced AI illustrations with period public-domain art, and added bookmarks. The new digital edition (v1.2) is now available at the Red Room store; the print edition will be updated shortly. You can check out the review here.

Stays in Vegas, a heist RPG set in mid-20th-century Las Vegas, inspired by the original Ocean’s 11, is now available in digital format at the Red Room store (a paperback version will be coming soon) . Put a crew together, case the floor, and walk out richer—if the Heat doesn’t catch up first. Play sharp, play quick: this game uses the MicroRed streamlined version of the Red Role-playing Game mechanics to run slick capers, casino hustles, and crew-driven jobs. The focus is on crime, cons, nightlife, and the constant pressure of law enforcement, the mob and casino security.
