New release: Grindhouse Red

Grindhouse Red is the MicroRed version of Wretchploitation, one of our earliest Wretched titles. It plunges players into the gritty, blood-soaked underbelly of 1970s exploitation cinema, using MicroRed, a streamlined iteration of the Red rules, an OSR-compatible system by the Red Room. With a cover by Warghoul (Lore Hammer Forge), and interior art (mostly) from public domain, Grindhouse Red is a love letter to the sleazy, blood-soaked world of exploitation cinema—films that thrived on sex, violence, drugs, and every taboo from the 1960s to the 1980s. It’s FREE for those who purchased Wretchploitation from our store and… you can play a LITERAL NAZI! What’s not to love?

New release: The Hollow Man

Slightly delayed, here’s Silvia Clemente‘s Halloween scenario, The Hallow Man. Now available at the Red Room store.

The Hollow Man is a horror scenario for Darker, which can be easily adapted to Wretched Darkness or any other OSR game (or a non-OSR game with a little more work).

The abandoned Hallowview Hotel looms like a decaying giant on the edge of the city, its crumbling halls surrounded by urban myths. Decades ago, the hotel was abruptly closed after a series of unexplained disappearances, leaving behind rumours of occult rituals, ghostly figures, and a sinister entity known as The Hallow Man. Built atop cursed ground once used for blood sacrifices to a forgotten harvest god, the hotel’s dark energy has only grown stronger, with strange graffiti and shifting shadows luring the brave—and the foolish—into its depths.

Long live the New Flesh!

New Flesh was just reborn in Red!

Enter the dystopian world of New Flesh, a future-noir roleplaying game where cyberpunk meets biological horror in the neon-drenched streets of Interzone. Set in then near future, when corporate power runs unchecked, this game draws inspiration from the works of William S. Burroughs, David Cronenberg, and other masters of transgressive fiction.

New Flesh embraces the surreal and visceral, biotechnology reigns supreme over chrome and

steel, transforming human bodies into corporate commodities. Underground labs conduct forbidden experiments, pleasure dens offer metamorphic experiences, and reality itself distorts in the wake of chimeric entities. In this haunting setting, player characters inhabit a world where flesh warps at corporate whim, consciousness fragments across biological interfaces, and survival demands moral compromise.

Note: If you purchased the previous Wretched versions of New Flesh you should have received an email with a code to get the product for free at the Red Room store. If for some reason you did not, reach out to us.

Gothic – RELEASED

Gothic was just released, still in time for Halloween!

In gas-lit streets, behind the elegant façades of Victorian manors, and deep within the misty forests of the countryside, darkness lurks. In this game, science and superstition collide, the ghosts of the past refuse to rest, and madness is always a risk. Gothic draws its inspiration from 19th-century literature and the enduring legacy of gothic horror in literature, cinema and the small screen (328 pages). You can find it at the Red Room store and it will be soon available in print at Luludotcom.
