Lootbox: Augments and Gear for New Flesh

$5.00

In Interzone, the future is grown out of flesh. Corporations and black-market surgeons compete to reshape the human body through living technology. Biocomputers grown from neural tissue replace traditional machines. Experimental drugs unlock perception at a cost. Symbiotic organs, engineered parasites, and radical fleshcraft promise power, beauty, or survival in a city where evolution has become a commodity.

Lootbox: Augments and Gear for New Flesh gathers the strange technology circulating through Interzone’s shadow markets. Inside you will find biocomputers, surveillance tools, infiltration equipment, utility gadgets, experimental software, and a wide array of biotech augmentations — from adaptive survival organs to grotesque aesthetic fleshmods. Each entry includes game statistics and acquisition values compatible with the New Flesh system while remaining easy to adapt to other OSR games.

This book reproduces the equipment catalog of New Flesh, including most of the gear presented in the core rulebook. For that reason, it is not primarily intended for
players who already own the main game. The equipment gathered here allows Game Masters to introduce the strange tools of Interzone into their own games, whether
they are running a cyberpunk dystopia, or a biopunk nightmare of their own design.

Description

Lootbox: Augments and Gear for New Flesh is a curated extraction of several of the countless online catalogs circulating through the networks of the Interzone. These catalogs exist everywhere in the City: corporate servers, street terminals, and traded through black-market networks.

All equipment stats can be easily adaptable to different OSR systems. Game Masters are encouraged to interpret the items creatively and adjust their mechanical effects to match the system they are using. In other words, consider this catalog a toolbox. If you wish to add illegal biotech to a dystopian city, arm corporate operatives
with unsettling experimental weapons, populate a black market with dangerous augmentations, or introduce strange living machines into a science-fiction campaign,
the items in this book can serve as inspiration.

But remember, not everything listed here is safe. Not everything listed here should exist. In Interzone, if something can be grown, grafted, engineered, or weaponised, someone will eventually find a way to sell it.
