Description
A triad crime boss kidnapped his former girlfriend’s sister and uses the hostage to persuade Lois, model and aspiring actress, to marry him against her will. However, Lois still has a card up her sleeve: a group of brave, determined and wretched friends willing to help her no matter the odds. A situation like this could be solved in a one-shot, but Knuckles of Steel provides plenty of plot hooks and non-player characters and places in Hammettville.
Key features of the scenario/ mini-setting include:
- The gritty, crime-ridden urban environment of Hammettville (later developed in Wretched Vigilantes and Wretched Darkness) with multiple distinct neighbourhoods such as Chinatown, Park Lane, Ridgeline, etc.
- The corrupt police force and city government as the main villains.
- Blaxploitation’s usual themes of racial tension, urban violence, rampant crime and social inequality.
- Optional supernatural elements (such as vampires and cults).
