New release: Harvest of Youth, a modern investigative horror scenario in which grief, bureaucracy, and occult power intersect. The players take the roles of parents and relatives drawn together by loss, following faint paper trails into the polished offices, medical facilities, and private clubs of an untouchable elite. This scenario was written for DARKER, but it can be easily adapted for other modern horror OSR games. By the way, I hope you like the cover by Anton Sever, as he will be doing a bunch of illustrations for the next DARKER Update!

SAVAGE SWORDS UPDATED TO 1.3: Our sword and sorcery game just got a major update. In the latest version – which you can download from the Red Room site and itch.io if you previously purchased it – the AI illustrations were replaced with commissioned art by Kris Villarosa, stock art by Dean Spence, typos were corrected and rules clarification added after feedback from Shadow’s gaming group. You can also find a new map in the downloads section. The updated version will soon be available in print.

When mainstream sites turned it away, the Red Room had to step in. Steve Miller’s card game, Nabbing Nicolas, is free on our website. This card game lets you experience the thrill of bringing Nicolas Maduro to justice–or of kidnapping him illegally, if you’re the kind of person who feels sorry for drug-running, election-stealing dictators. Nabbing Nicolas is a fast-paced game that’s played with a regular deck of cards. It can be played by 2-4 players, and it’s everything you might expect a game designed in an afternoon to be–and then some!

All items of the Wretched Verses are now free at our site. And yes, free items (the Verses and others) are still available for download at the Red Room.

As of today, January 1, the Red Room website is no longer operating as a store for paid products. From this point forward, the site functions mostly as a catalogue for Red Room titles, while sales of paid books and supplements take place through Luludotcom and itch.io.

What remains available on the site:

– Free products can still be downloaded directly.

– Coupon codes for free products — including those used by our subscribers — continue to work as before.

– Customer accounts remain active, including access to the Downloads section.

– Subscriptions are operational.

– Wishlists are still available and unaffected.

– The free Cha’alt supplements are still available for download.

What is no longer available:

– The Pundit Files and other third-party products have been retired .

For all paid titles, each product page now includes direct links to the available purchasing options on Lulu and itch.io, where both digital and print editions can be obtained.
