The Pundit Files Issue 12 – The Mendicant

An OSR adventure set in medieval Chester, The Mendicant is an adventure apt for various levels, with investigative elements that will challenge the Player Character’s sense of moral judgment. A charismatic lay preacher has come to town, and his simple but elegant teachings have caught the interest of some of the city’s upper classes. But is “Brother Jenkin” what he appears? Or is there something sinister afoot? When the PCs are contacted by the wealthy and powerful father of one of Jenkin’s new followers, who is willing to do whatever it takes to remove the preacher from his wayward son’s life regardless of whether the holy man is genuine or not, what will the party do about it?
