In Celluloid Killer, players take on the roles of Hammettville Police detectives assigned to investigate a particularly brutal homicide. What first appears to be an isolated case soon reveals a disturbing pattern: a murderer who stages his crimes after famous scenes from cult and classic films. As the investigation advances, the detectives uncover a trail of bodies, each killing more elaborate and referential than the last, forcing them to confront the darker side of cinephilia and media obsession while they piece together motive, method, and identity through patient, methodical police work.The adventure is grounded in the thriller genre and is intended to be run as a conventional police procedural, with no supernatural elements by default.
